About this episode

Is your problem really just a problem? Or is there something deeper beneath the iceberg that needs to be seen?

In this episode my guest is Lee Chung-Yi (李崇義), a former senior executive in Silicon Valley tech who chose to return to Taiwan to promote mind-body integration and the Satir model of communication. He is the author of Iceberg Dialogue (冰山對話), The Inner Black Hole (內在黑洞) and Your Problem Is Not the Problem (你的問題不是問題), and hosts the podcast 崇義開始說.

For years, he has used dialogue to help people build self-awareness — moving from the problem on the surface of the iceberg to understanding the truth within, and breaking the habitual patterns in our emotions and relationships.

Why did I invite him?

I first encountered his teaching at a workshop run by Long-Eared Rabbit Mind Dimension (長耳兔心靈維度). In that deep experience, I felt the power of Satir dialogue for the first time, and realized: it isn't that we have too many problems; it's that we haven't truly talked with and understood ourselves.

This interview is my way of sharing that awareness and gentle strength with you.

P.S. The memory card failed on the day of recording, so the audio was edited from the camera's track and the sound quality is a little lower — thanks for bearing with it.

Highlights • His turning point and awakening, from Silicon Valley executive to Satir mentor • How "iceberg dialogue" reveals suppressed emotions and needs • What is the "inner black hole," and how does it shape our habitual behavior? • The "problem" is often just the surface — where does real transformation begin? • Practical ways and starting points for learning dialogue and self-awareness
